Hi!
"Let me introduce myself, I just arrived. After you listen to me, you'll remember my name" (Ana Vitoria)

My story
Well, then listen to me as AnaVitória's song says. However, I make it clear that I have just arrived on this site. I'm Wilane - a very different name from the ones we're used to, so I hope you remember it - teacher graduated in Portuguese and English Literature since 2016 e passionate about the educational area. So I work in different areas. In the class part:
- English;
- Portuguese for foreigners;
- Portuguese for school reinforcement;
In addition to classes, the area of specialists in didactic content is also part of my daily life. After all, working in the "back line" allows me to collaborate with the education of our country, impacting a greater number of Brazilians, something that does not happen in classrooms due to the number of students. These are my technical works:
- Author of texts in the educational field;
- Elaboration of simulated Enem and SAEB;
- Technical and grammar proofreader of questions;
- Producer of activities based on active methodologies;
- Elaboration of questions for all basic and technical education (education systems and public agencies).
You must be wondering if I've ever taken any of the tests you answered. Probably yes! But don't worry, I don't make "gotchas". This type of question is no longer used and in no way contributes to student learning.
The magic of creating questions occurs when carefully choosing a text and how that content will impact the student. When selecting a text, I must think that it will be a question applied to students from all over the country, therefore, I must choose diverse subjects that can somehow touch a student both from the interior of the country and one who lives in large cities. Therefore, I need to go beyond my context as a resident of a big city like São Paulo. At this point, my advantage is that "I come from a place where the sun kisses the sea / Yellow, blue and white", that is, the city of Recife in Pernambuco. I lived part of my childhood there and the rest of my life in São Paulo. This fact allows me to have an open mind, since I know the realities of the northeast and south of the country, which helps to be impartial and judicious when elaborating a question and selecting a text.
I studied in a public school my whole life - except for 2 years in a private one. Like most Brazilians, I come from a low-income family and I know the difficulties we go through both to survive in an unequal country and to study there. So, the area of education interested me because in it I can help boys and girls from public schools like me in different ways. In order to get a higher education, I needed the help of the government. The first college came through a full scholarship from Prouni (University for All Program), I took the Business Management course. Years later, I attended the Faculty of Arts, again through a government incentive program, the FIES (Fundo de Financiamento ao Estudante do Ensino Superior).
So, as seen above, versatility and creativity are part of who I am and what I do.
Welcome here.
Professor Wilane Canuto.
